Child Safety Standards
Last updated:
These Child Safety Standards apply to dateTribal Social (African Dating App: dateTribal), including our mobile application, user profiles, messaging features, uploaded content, and related services. We are committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
1. Our Commitment to Child Safety
dateTribal Social has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We prohibit the use of our platform to sexually exploit, abuse, groom, solicit, or endanger minors.
dateTribal Social is intended for adults aged 18 and older. Individuals under 18 are not permitted to create or maintain accounts or use our dating and social networking services.
2. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not use dateTribal Social to create, request, upload, possess, distribute, promote, or facilitate CSAM or any activity involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Creating, sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material.
- Grooming, sexually soliciting, coercing, or manipulating a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sexualizing minors or requesting sexual images or sexual content involving minors.
- Sextortion, trafficking, or other forms of sexual exploitation involving a minor.
- Attempting to arrange or facilitate sexual contact with a minor.
- Using profiles, photos, private messages, or any other app feature to facilitate child sexual abuse or exploitation.
- Attempting to evade child-safety enforcement or helping another person engage in prohibited conduct.
These rules apply to public and private areas of the service. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, suspension, or permanent account termination, as appropriate.
3. Reporting Child Safety Concerns
Users can report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, inappropriate content, or other child-safety concerns through the reporting feature available within dateTribal Social.
Reports can also be submitted to our designated Child Safety Point of Contact using the contact details in Section 7.
When submitting a report, include relevant details where available, such as the account username, profile identifier, message or content reference, and a description of the concern.
Do not download, copy, forward, or redistribute suspected CSAM to make a report. Use the in-app reporting feature or contact our designated safety representative instead.
4. Review, Moderation, and Enforcement
We maintain procedures for reviewing child-safety reports, investigating suspected violations, and taking appropriate action under our policies and applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:
- Reviewing reports and relevant account or content information.
- Removing content that violates our standards.
- Restricting, suspending, or permanently terminating accounts.
- Escalating serious incidents to the appropriate internal personnel or external authorities.
- Preserving and disclosing relevant information when legally required or otherwise lawfully permitted.
Reports are handled according to their circumstances, applicable law, and our moderation procedures. We take appropriate action when we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM, consistent with our legal obligations.
5. CSAM Escalation and Legal Compliance
dateTribal Social maintains procedures for escalating suspected or confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities in accordance with applicable laws and reporting obligations.
Where legally required, reports will be made to the relevant national or regional authority. In the United States, this may include the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as applicable to the circumstances and our legal obligations.
We will cooperate with lawful investigations and comply with applicable child-safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which our services operate.
6. Preventing Underage Use
dateTribal Social is an adults-only service for individuals aged 18 and older. Underage individuals are prohibited from using the platform. If we identify an account that appears to belong to someone under 18, we will review the concern and take appropriate action in accordance with our policies and applicable law.
7. Child Safety Point of Contact
